ARMY/NAVY GAME
Philadelphia was awarded the Army Navy Game for 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2017. A collaboration of regional partners helped ensure Philadelphia’s continued role to host the Army/Navy game.
"We are thrilled to know that this American Classic will remain in Philadelphia fixture for many years to come," Governor Ed Rendell said in a press release.. "This game is part of the very fabric of Philadelphia, and we were determined to make sure that it stayed right here where it belongs."
GOLF CAMP
The Philadelphia Department of Recreation is holding a golf camp at the Cobbs Creek Golf Club, 72nd St. and Lansdowne Ave., for boys and girls ages 11 to 15 August 3 to 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The $60 fee includes instruction, T-shirt and eligibility for door prizes.
