The Neumann-Goretti boys’ basketball team, 1736 S. 10th St., finished fourth in the Les Schwab Invitational held Dec. 26 to 29 in Oregon.
The Saints dropped the semifinal contest to eventual champs Lake Oswego, 63-59. Ja’Quan Newton paced Neumann-Goretti’s offense with his 22.5 points per game, which ranked fifth among all participants.
John Davis chipped in eight rebounds per contest while Hanif Sutton averaged 3.5 assists and 2.8 steals for the tournament.
