Looking to secure an undefeated season, the girls’ basketball team from Ss. Neumann-Goretti High School, 1736 S. 10th St., fell 58-50 to Seton-La Salle High School in Friday afternoon’s Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Class AA final. The Saints, entering at 29-0 for the Hershey-situated duel, shot only 24.2 percent from the field, with just five of their 30 three-point attempts falling. Senior guard and Third-Team All-Catholic selection Emmanuella Awobajo led the Catholic League and District 12 City victors with 13 points and eight rebounds. Junior guard and First-Team league honoree Ciani Cryor contributed 12 points, five assists and as many steals.
