The temperature isn’t the only thing that has increased this winter. The national average price for a gallon of gasoline hit $3.72 Monday, about 10 percent higher than it was at this time last year. With costs rising this high just two months into the year, there’s reason to believe that 2012 could see record-setting prices before long.
