As the sun slowly set over the pedestrian bridge at the foot of South Street, a bicyclist savored the last of the long summer days and warm evening air that was perfect for strolling, al fresco dining, sneaking away for a late-night water ice, firing up the grill or simply striking up an impromptu conversation with neighbors.
