With Rosco, a trusty German Shepherd and coyote mix companion, by his side, Dustin Woods, a Detroit native and former Marine, took to the 1600 block of South Columbus Boulevard last week in search of support. Referring to himself as a “traveler,” he arrived in Philadelphia earlier this month, having continued his practice of hitching rides on freight trains. He has had his story included in the documentary “Freeload.”
