A teen was struck by gunfire as he was walking through West Passyunk Saturday night.

Two men fired several shots at a 15-year-old as he walked northbound on the 2300 block of South 22nd Street, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. After a bullet struck his left ankle, he ran to a family member’s home and someone transported him to Methodist Hospital.

Police responding to 22nd and Wolf streets for a reported shooting discovered cartridge casings on the street and a parked automobile damaged by gunfire, Tolliver said.

The suspects were described as black, thin and wearing a dark-colored hoody and dark blue jeans. One was 6-foot-2 with a dark complexion while the other was 6 foot with a light complexion.
