A female required a hospital trip after an attack in Pennsport Sunday.
At 8:30 p.m., police responded to a radio call of a robbery on the 100 block of Tasker Street, learning from the complainant that she had been walking on the stretch when an unknown individual grabbed her purse, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. His antics continued when he pulled her to the ground, leading her to hit the back of her head, before he fled eastbound along Tasker Street.
The victim, who suffered a large laceration that required transport to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, described the attacker as white, 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds; and wearing a black hoodie.
