Winter storm relief

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced the approval of $1,775,008 in federal funds Jan. 11 to the city for costs associated with the February 2010 severe winter storm. Philadelphia’s grant includes reimbursement for snow removal efforts on city-maintained roadways, airport facilities and grounds.
