A West Philly man died about seven hours after being wounded in West Passyunk late Saturday.
At 10:47 p.m., Maurice Acey, 39, of the 4900 block of Monument Road, was shot multiple times in the chest, thigh and butt on the 2000 block of South 22nd Street, Officer Jill Russell of the Police Public Affairs said. He was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, but pronounced dead the following morning at 5:38 a.m.
There was no motive or suspects at press time.
