With the rise in food prices this year, Philabundance is hard at work handing out fresh produce and food to those in need.
Philabundance’s Fresh For All program has provided about 190 homes with 21 pounds of free produce on a weekly basis. Since its October 2009 launch, the Pennsport location at Front and Tasker streets has doled out 380,202 pounds of produce. Residents are asked only to bring their own bags or boxes 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Fridays.
