The Philadelphia Police Department needs the public’s assistance finding a suspect allegedly responsible for multiple thefts throughout South Philadelphia.
In the first incident, on Feb. 12 at approximately 12:50 p.m., an unknown African American male was captured on surveillance video inside of the ACME market located at 1901 Johnston Street. The suspect walked around stalking his victim for several minutes. When the victim was distracted, the suspect took the victim’s purse from the shopping cart and fled. (DC # 19-01-005832)
In the second incident, on Feb. 13 at approximately at approximately 3:30 p.m., an unknown African American male was captured on surveillance video entering the Kin Laundromat located at 1537 South Broad Street. After lurking around for several minutes, the suspect took the victim’s purse from the counter and fled. (DC # 19-03-009719)
In the third incident, on Feb. 15 at approximately 11:40 a.m., an unknown African American male was captured on surveillance video entering the Philly Natural store located at 1221 South Broad Street. After lingering around for several minutes, the suspect took the victim’s purse from behind the counter and fled. (DC # 19-03-010162)
