Police arrested a West Passyunk resident for allegedly firing a gun at another male.

At 11:41 p.m. Sunday, police reported to 29th Street and Snyder Avenue for a person-with-a-gun report, learning from the complainant that he had to tell the supposed offender to stop being so loud while they were in the Dew Drop Inn, 2848 Snyder Ave. He stated that Robert Corba told him he had a loaded gun, with the victim saying he did not care.

The supposed aggressor then shot at the man, leading the latter to flee and call the police. A witness corroborated the complainant’s take, and authorities arrested the 76-year-old resident of the 2000 block of Snyder Avenue, charging him with possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person. He awaits a Jan. 12 status hearing.
