Video leads to arrest

The offender sought for robbing another man on a subway platform was apprehended Monday.

Police received a tip identifying Rashaad Donaldson, 29, of the 1400 block of South Carlisle Street, as the man who allegedly punched a 51-year-old in the face and robbed him of his billfold containing lottery tickets on the Broad Street Line’s Snyder Avenue platform, 2000 South Broad St., at 9:15 a.m. Jan. 29, police said.

He was arrested at 11:20 p.m. Feb. 2 outside on the 1900 block of Reed Street, according to police. Bail was set at $25,000, according to court records, and remained in jail at press time.

He was charged with robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
