A Newbold man was arrested for assaulting a deliveryman outside of his home Friday.

A 41-year-old, who was working for an unknown company, delivered a food order at 9 p.m. to Jack Dietsche, 48, at his home on the 1700 block of South Mole Street, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.

Dietsche allegedly began arguing with the deliverer over the contents’ price and punched the man, knocking him down and causing him to pass out for a brief time, Tolliver said.

A medic transported the victim to HUP.

Dietsche was charged with simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, according to court records. On Saturday, his bail was set at $1,500, which he posted the same day.
