A man was mugged after returning to Hawthorne from SugarHouse Casino.
Shortly after a 46-year-old exited a taxi on the 1300 block of Bainbridge Street at 4:10 p.m. June 28, two men pushed him to the ground from behind, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. One of the offenders grabbed his throat and said, “If you move, I will shoot you” as the other man pulled his glasses off of his face, took $310 from his hand and snatched a watch and keys from his pockets. They demanded he remove his shoes and walk down a driveway as they fled in an unknown direction.
Police did not release a detailed description of the perpetrators as of press time.
