Police arrested a Grays Ferry woman for assault Friday.

During a dispute, Tondelia Sowell, 37, of the 2900 block of Reed Street, allegedly used an unknown object to smack a 62-year-old woman, with whom she supposedly has not gotten along with for years, resulting in a swollen eye, bloody lip and possible orbital bone fracture at 8:55 p.m., Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. She was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in stable condition.

Sowell told a 38-year-old man, who resides with the victim, “I messed your girl up” and was arrested at the scene Tolliver said.

She was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person. She posted a percentage of her $10,000 bail Friday.
