A drug-seeking male punched and robbed a woman in Whitman last week.
At 10:09 p.m., the complainant was walking on the 600 block of Cantrell Street when an unknown man approached her, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. When she replied “No” to his inquiry about her having crack, he punched her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground, where he kicked her multiple times before taking $5 from her pants pocket.
The victim, who last saw him running southbound on Seventh Street and who received transport to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for a swollen right eye and lip, described the offender as white, 5-foot-4 and 27 or 28 years old; having a thin build; and wearing black clothes and a black ski cap.
