Police discovered two dead bodies in a Southeast Philly home Saturday. It is unclear if the incident was a double homicide or a murder-suicide.
Michael Stering, 52, of the 1900 block of Ritner Street, was located at 5:56 p.m. Friday in a bedroom on the 600 block of Fitzgerald Street with a gunshot wound to his head, Officer Jill Russell of the Police Public Affairs Unit said. Another man, 44, who resided at the Fitzgerald-Street location was found in the hallway also with a gunshot wound to his head. His name has not yet been released as authorities are investigating to see if he was the shooter. Both men were pronounced dead at 6:05 p.m.
