A Pennsport firing range and gun retail store was broken into Friday.

Police responded to a burglary at Firing Line Inc., 1532 S. Front St., at 2:19 p.m., Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The parking lot gate was open with its padlock and chain cut and set on the ground. The building’s glass front door also was shattered.

SWAT and a K9 unit walked through the business, but did not locate anyone, Tolliver said. The owner then was allowed onto the premises, but did not see any firearms or other items to be missing.

Surveillance video indicated that three people wearing masks and gloves were inside. A more detailed description was not available at press time.
