Police are looking for a man who fired shots on a Newbold street Sunday.

A 26-year-old awoke to a man yelling outside when he noticed a man shooting eastbound toward 17th Street from Sigel Street while walking backward at 1:12 a.m., Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The shooter fled in an unknown direction.

Police recovered ballistics on Sigel and discovered bullet holes in the front windows of a porch and a shattered passenger side headlamp of a white 2001 Chevrolet TrailBlazer on the 1800 block of South 17th Street, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The home’s 63-year-old occupant, who was watching TV at the time of the shooting, heard five or six shots but did not hear the bullets strike his home.
