Iconic Philadelphia sandwich virtuoso Tony Luke has opened a new location in the Persian Gulf.
Since the shop’s beginnings at 39 E. Oregon Ave. 18 years ago, Tony Luke’s has become a dominant force in the Philly cheesesteak universe. The opening of Tony Luke’s in Bahrain is the first of 60 restaurants planned for the Middle East and North Africa plus additional locations in the works in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
“The people of Bahrain are some of the nicest friendliest, caring and welcoming people I’ve ever
met and want to thank them for making me feel at home," Tony Luke said. "I hope they enjoy our steaks as much as we enjoy bringing a taste of Philly to Bahrain.”
