A popular Pennsport shopping destination dealt with a bomb threat last week.

Just before 7 p.m. Jan. 22, a manager at Walmart, 1675 S. Columbus Blvd., reported that an unknown male with a Middle-Eastern accent called the location and stated “I placed a bomb in the store, and I want a $500 MoneyGram, or I will explode the bomb,” Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. A K-9 unit arrived shortly afterward and could not detect any device.
