A woman kept an attacker from taking her possessions in Queen Village.

Walking along the 700 block of South Front Street at 11:10 p.m. Monday, the complainant had an unknown male approach her from behind, with the stranger blaring “Give me your money,” Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. He grabbed her purse and pointed an umbrella at her, but the undeterred figure replied by grabbing his sweatshirt’s hood and tightly clutching her property. Her screams led him to let go and flee eastbound on Queen Street via a bicycle.

The complainant reported nothing taken, Tolliver said, and suffered minor cuts to her hands and left toe. She did not seek immediate medical attention and described the male as black, 15 to 18 years old and 160 pounds; having a thin build and a light complexion; wearing a gray hoodie with the hood up; and riding a bright blue bike.
