A 17-year-old pled guilty to firing a gun at a cop in Queen Village during a potential flash mob incident over the summer.

Police were trying to disperse a large group of teens along the 600 block of South Front Street at 11:11 p.m. July 16 when Devon Marcus, 17, of Southwest Philly, tried to bypass an officer, police said. However the officer stopped him and instructed him to head home. However, as he headed south, Marcus, who was 16 at the time, pulled a gun and fired four shots toward the officer and his partner, but he missed. The officer chased the boy by bike to the 600 block of South American Street where he arrested him.

Marcus, who was tried as an adult, pled guilty to aggravated assault, a firearm violation, possession of an instrument of crime and conspiracy Feb. 17, according to court records. He will be sentenced April 3.
