A Whitman fast food restaurant was robbed Monday.

As a 24-year-old female manager opened the front door of Wendy’s, 2130 S. Columbus Blvd., at 6:48 a.m., an unknown man with a shirt wrapped around his head and a gun in his hand pushed in behind her, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. He grabbed her hair, pointed the weapon at her head and pulled her into the office, telling her to get cash. He took her purse and cell phone before demanding her not to put in the wrong code in the safe. He swiped $400 and told the employee not to move as he fled westbound from the eatery.

He was described as black with a dark complexion, 6 foot, 180 pounds and wearing a white shirt, black pants, white socks, black sneakers, gloves and a gray shirt covering his head.
