A Point Breeze holdup resulted in items being taken from a man’s pockets and automobile Monday.
A 23-year-old was headed toward his vehicle parked on the 1800 block of South Taylor Street at 8 p.m. when an unknown man placed an object, which is believed to have been a handgun, to his back and said, “Give it up,” Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Another man then opened the passenger’s side door and swiped two phones and a pair of glasses before joining the gunman to rummage through the victim’s pockets, taking his iPhone, wallet, watch and $200.
The offenders instructed their target, who was unharmed, to not turn around as they fled north on Taylor.
One suspect was described as black with a light complexion, in his 20s, 6-foot, thin and wearing a cream-colored hoodie and blue jeans while the other was described as black, in his 20s, 5-foot-8, having a full beard and wearing a black hoodie.
