A pair of robbers split up to mug two victims at once Monday.

The offender carrying a knife approached a 22-year-old man from behind, pushed him and demanded his property at 12:30 a.m. on the 1000 block of South 15th Street, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The pair struggled as the perpetrator took his wallet, which contained ID, credit cards and $20.

Meanwhile, another man armed with a black gun did the same to a 24-year-old woman, but since she did not have anything of value on her, the duo fled northbound on 15th Street, Tolliver said.

During the incident, the victim suffered minor cuts to his right hand and left side, which medics treated on site, Tolliver said.

The suspects were described as black, age 18 to 22, 5-foot-8 and thin. The knife-wielding man was further described as having a dark complexion and short braids, and wearing a red hoodie and blue jeans while the gunman was further described as having a medium complexion and short hair, and wearing a black long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
