Three aggressors made it a bad night for a man in Passyunk Square Monday.

At 10:21 p.m., the complainant was talking on his phone while walking on the 1100 block of Ellsworth Street when the figures walked toward him, with one punching him several times in the face and taking his wallet, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The trio then went into his pockets and nabbed his identification card, $300 and two credit cards before fleeing on foot, with the victim last observing them heading toward 12th Street. He suffered minor swelling on his cheek and complained of pain but did not seek immediate attention. He tabbed all the attackers as black, with the first being 5-foot-9, 18 to 20 years old; and wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants; and the second and third as the same ages and wearing the same clothes.
