Three men conversed with their intended target before robbing him in West Passyunk Monday afternoon.

The 24-year-old was strolling along the 2200 block of Winton Street when he saw the men staring at him at 4:30 p.m., Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. One asked, “Are you from around here? We’ve never seen you before.” The man replied, “Yes” and tried to walk away, but the man grabbed him by his shirt as a second offender pointed a black and silver handgun at his side and said, “You know what time it is,” and a third man pointed a black handgun to his head. The initial instigator grabbed $100 and ID from his pocket before the trio fled south on 22nd Street.

The suspects were described as black, age 20 to 25. The first one was 6-foot-2, 150 pounds; having a light complexion, short hair and long beard; and wearing a denim shirt, tan cargo pants; the second thief was 6-foot-2, 170 pounds; having a dark complexion, short hair and no facial hair; and wearing a blue shirt and jeans; and the third offender was 5-foot-6, 140 pounds; having a light complexion, short hair and a mustache; and wearing a white shirt and black jeans.
