Sixth graders at St. Nicholas of Tolentine School, 913 Pierce St., warmed residents at St. Monica Manor, 2509 S. Fourth St, with a visit last month.
The students went to the nursing home after the 11 a.m. mass Dec. 19 bearing gifts including christmas crafts as well as homemade cookies and cupcakes. The seniors were thankful to see the students visit over the holidays, both Thanksgiving and Christmas, their teacher Florence Coley said.
“They want to know when we’re going back, so I might take them back Valentine’s Day,” she said.
