The readers have deemed the Social Scene as their favorite South Philly Review section.
Each week the section features a variety of celebrations that readers want to share with the rest of the community. Announcements vary from engagements to graduations to birthdays to awards in the form of an ad through the paper’s website or in person. Submitters are able to personalize their ads through several different options ranging from the size and length of message to their favorite photo.
Depending on the level of excitement the readers are feeling, they have the option to have their ad posted in print and online. This provides the opportunity to share announcements with ease to others outside of South Philly, such as posting its link on social media sites.
With a number of ads being submitted each week, it is safe to say that the people in South Philly are always celebrating something, and this time the Social Scene is celebrating its own award right with the people.
