A man assaulted a boy in Point Breeze even though he was looking for his brother.

The offender approached the 13-year-old on the 1500 block of South 20th Street at 11:50 a.m. Friday and said, “Don’t move. Where is your brother?” Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. When the boy responded that he didn’t know, the man struck him on the side of his head with a silver gun and fled southbound on 20th Street.

A medic transported the boy to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he received two staples to close a gash to his head, Tolliver said.

The offender, who had been arguing with the boy’s brother earlier at 21st and Dickinson streets, was described as black with a dark complexion, age 26, 6 foot, 160 pounds, having a moustache and wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and black boots, Tolliver said.
