A man was held up at gunpoint in Marconi Monday afternoon.

The 28-year-old was strolling southbound on the 2700 block of South 19th Street when an unknown man collided with his right shoulder, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. He turned and asked what the problem was to find the man pulling a small, black semi-automatic handgun from his right vest pocket.

The offender said, “Give me everything in your pockets” and pulled about $300 from the man’s right pants pocket, Tolliver said. The thief demanded the victim walk toward Oregon Avenue as he fled in an unknown direction.

The offender was described as black, age 18 to 24, 6-foot-3 to 6-foot-4, very thin, clean shaven; having a large gap between his front teeth; and wearing a black puffy vest and black sneakers.
