Shots were fired on a Point Breeze street missing the intended target and striking three unoccupied vehicles instead.

While walking along the 1400 block of South Ringgold Street, a 24-year-old noticed two armed men appear from an empty lot on the block at 4:40 p.m. Nov. 17, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.

Armed with a handgun, one of the men said, “What’s up, y’all?” and the 24-year-old sprinted north on Ringgold toward Reed Street as the offenders began shooting. Three parked cars were struck, but the man was unharmed. After turning back at Reed, the man noticed both men running through the lot toward Taylor Street.

The first suspect was described as black with a dark complexion, age 15 to 19, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-9 and wearing a black cap, hoody and jeans and tan boots while the second was described as black 5-foot-9 to 6 foot, low-cut hair and wearing purple camouflage hoody and blue jeans.
