A shooter with robbery possibly on his mind left a man in stable condition Monday afternoon in Dickinson Square West.
At 2:42 p.m., police reached the 600 block of Watkins Street, meeting with a man who had reported a shooting, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The law enforcement workers found him lying on the ground with a single gunshot wound to the chest and secured transport for him to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
The injured party noted only that robbery appeared to be the motive and could provide no further information on the matter. He described the shooter as a black male and 21 or 22 years old.
