An individual pursued and tried to kill another man in South of South Tuesday.

A 25-year-old was walking away from an ATM at 22nd and Lombard streets at 6:24 p.m. when an unknown man followed him, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. When he reached the 2100 block of Pemberton Street, the man asked the follower, “What do you want?” The perpetrator replied, “Your life,” pulled out a black revolver and fired three shots that all missed the man.

The offender — who was described as black with a medium complexion, age 30 to 35, 6-foot, thin; having short hair; and wearing a white and brown hoody and blue jeans — fled in an unknown direction, Tolliver said.

Detectives recovered ballistics evidence.
