Police arrested a Darby dweller for supposedly robbery a South of South eatery in October.

As first reported in the Oct. 23 South Philly Review as “Don’t dough it!,” a man entered Omega Pizza, 2145 South St., at 7:18 P.M. Oct. 16, approached an employee and allegedly pointed a small black gun at him. The worker placed approximately $500 into a small black bag and watched the thief flee on foot, last catching sight of him going westbound on the 2200 block of South Street.

On Nov. 9, a University of Pennsylvania police officer, halting a robbery at the University City-situated Colonial Pizza, arrested 48-year-old Gary Grant. Further investigation of the Delaware County resident identified him as a suspect in four heists, including the South of South robbery. He had not posted his $25,000 bail as of press time and awaits his formal arraignment on Dec. 16.
