A man lost blood and cash in a Passyunk Square-based attack Saturday.
The complainant reported that at 11:30 p.m., he was walking in the area of the 1600 block of South Seventh Street when a stranger approached him from behind and, without any verbal exchanges, cut his left arm with a knife, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The figure sped off southbound along Seventh Street after removing $3 from the victim’s pants pocket. Authorities transported his prey to Methodist Hospital for treatment of the laceration and an abrasion to the back of his head.
The complainant described the aggressor as black, 6-foot-1, 180 pounds; and wearing a black T-shirt, the same colored pants and baseball cap and white sneakers.
