A man robbed a woman’s engagement ring in Girard Estate Saturday.
The complainant was walking on the 1900 block of Jackson Street at 7:30 p.m. when an unknown male pushed her into the corner of a shed attached to a residence and demanded money, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Upon hearing that she lacked cash, the figure demanded her diamond engagement ring. After receiving the item, he fled the area, with the victim last seeing him heading westbound on Jackson Street toward 20th Street. She described him as black and 6 foot; having a full beard; and wearing a black hoodie.
