Bella Vista homeowners could not prevent a burglar from making off with valuable possessions Saturday night.

Police reached the 700 block of Clymer Street at 9:17 p.m., learning the occupants had been lying in bed when an unknown person entered their space with a flashlight, leading the male resident to ask about the individual’s identity, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The intruder bolted down the steps and out their rear door in an unknown direction.

Authorities futilely surveyed the area, Tolliver said, but learned from the dwellers, who could not determine the interloper’s gender or race, that they were missing two Dell Inspiron laptop computers, a ladies Michael Kors watch, a men’s Rolex Oyster watch, two Samsung Galaxy cell phones, a pair of diamond earrings, a white Kindle and an Apple iPod Touch.
