A woman walking through South of South Sunday morning ended up losing her possessions.
Traveling along the 1800 block of Carpenter Street at 2:10 a.m., the complainant received a punch to the face from an unknown man who had approached her from behind, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. He grabbed her purse, which contained an iPhone, $20, keys and identification, and fled the scene, with the victim last catching him running on the 1000 block of South Cleveland Street.
She described him as black, in his 30s and 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10; wearing dark clothing with a hood; and having a dark complexion and long hair, possibly dreadlocks.
