Authorities are seeking a Grays Ferry man believed to be responsible for an October homicide.

The U.S. Marshal Service is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of Robert Holmes, aka Rick James, U.S. Marshal Supervisor James Burke said.
The 28-year-old allegedly shot James Abbott, 41, of Southwest Philly, in the back on the 3300 block of Reed Street at 9:40 p.m. Oct. 8 and fled the scene, according to authorities. Abbott was pronounced dead 40 minutes later.
Holmes, whose last known address is on the 2300 block of South Bailey Terrace, is described as 5-foot-7, 140 pounds; having brown eyes, black hair and “Shyreeta” tattooed on his right forearm.
