A burglar stole a cart full of items from a Pennsport automotive store early Monday.

Surveillance video from Pep Boys, 1000 S. Columbus Boulevard, captured an unknown man pry open the business’ garage door at 5:57 a.m., Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Twenty-three minutes later, he reemerged from the store with two mini dirt bikes and a shopping cart containing a speaker box and car battery charger.

A man called police to Wharton and South Howard streets where the shopping cart still filled with the stolen content and one of the bikes were blocking his garage, Tolliver said. All the items except for the remaining bike were recovered and returned to the store.

The thief was described as a man wearing a blue jacket with white and light blue strips across the chest, black pants, white sneakers and a dark-colored hoody.
