The Bainbridge Street Barrel House, 625-27 S. Sixth St., became a burglar’s playground Monday.
At 6:10 a.m., police arrived at the Bella Vista establishment and found its front door’s glass shattered, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Finding no one on the premises, they and the proprietor observed a cash register missing, with the computer monitor for the holder broken on the floor and a coin tray that they believe came from the register discovered on the 600 block of Kater Street. The owner said someone had taken a key to the front door, too.
