A thief made off with merchandise from an East Passyunk Crossing store.
At 1:20 p.m. Sunday, the proprietor of Cloud Nine, 1832 E. Passyunk Ave., alerted authorities to an incident at his establishment, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. He told them he secured the site at 8:30 p.m. the previous day, returning at approximately 1 p.m. Sunday.
Upon his arrival, he noticed the door was unlocked and that many items were missing while others were in new locations. The complainant estimates that someone took $1,000 worth of merchandise.
