One suspect identified

A man wanted for a robbery in a Bella Vista city-owned parking lot was identified as a Kentucky resident.

Phuc Nguyen, 18, of Louisville, Ky., was positively identified from a photo spread as one of the men responsible for a robbery at 1012-16 E. Passyunk Ave. at 12:44 p.m. Dec. 19, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Nguyen allegedly stood on the driver’s side of a car containing a 27- and two 28-year-old women after the trio hopped inside the auto. After pointing a handgun at the women, he and another male are believed to have demanded their purses and fled on foot.

The other man was described as Hispanic, age 25 to 30, 5-foot-7, thin, with dark, short hair and wearing a black winter jacket. Nguyen was arrested 3:50 p.m. Friday at South Detectives, 2301 S. 24th St., and charged with three counts of robbery, theft, terroristic threats and related offenses.
