A city cop who resides in South Philly was arrested for driving under the influence in Bella Vista early Saturday.

Lee Marrero, a 29-year-old with five years on the force, was off duty when police pulled him over on the 900 block of East Passyunk Avenue for allegedly driving while intoxicated at 5:46 a.m., according to a Police Public Affairs Unit press release. He was charged with driving under the influence along with four counts of criminal mischief — one for each parked car he hit along the avenue, Tasha Jamerson, the District Attorney Office’s spokeswoman, said.
The 22nd District police officer was reassigned to administrative duties in the Differential Response Unit pending the result of the investigation, according to Public Affairs. Police would not release his area of residence, but according to court records, Marrero resides in the 19147 zip code.
