Nine charged with prostitution

Six women — including a Passyunk Square resident — and three men were charged with prostitution and criminal solicitation as a result of craigslist sting at an unidentified hotel near Philadelphia International Airport.

Laura Holland, 43, of the 1600 block of South 10th Street, along with eight others, was arrested in the undercover Citywide Vice operation conducted last week, according to a Police Public Affairs Unit press release.

Also arrested were Charisa Norman, 25, of the Northeast; Christine Hunter, 21, Sherri Perkins, 23, and Christopher Powell, 28, all of Drexel Hill; Edith Massle, 44, of East Falls; Jennifer Henderson, 28, of Bridgeton, N.J.; Clarence Norris, 39, of Southwest; and Joseph Stalfire, 67, of Plymouth Meeting.

In addition to prostitution and criminal solicitation, the six women were charged with criminal conspiracy.
