An unknown man robbed a Newbold/Point Breeze bar June 22.

The robber entered Baynard’s Bar, 1216 S. 17th St., at 1:05 a.m. and within a minute, pulled out a small, silver handgun from his waistband and demanded money, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The 78-year-old owner handed over $680 to the man who fled in an unknown direction.

The offender, who was described as black with a medium complexion, age 35 to 40, 5-foot-10, 200 pounds; having a shaved head and facial hair; and wearing a green Polo and shorts.
